Rooted & Alive
An intimate retreat for women ready to lead from a steadier, more grounded place and pace.
Sonoma, California - September 11-13, 2026
with Nevada Lane and Emma Simpson
You’re capable. Trusted. Respected.
People rely on your judgment.
Your team looks to you for steadiness.
Your organization depends on your leadership.
And yet the pace rarely slows long enough for you to catch your breath.
The pressure to keep performing, deciding, and holding it all together can quietly pull you away from the grounded place where your best leadership lives.
Rooted & Alive is an invitation to step out of that constant overdrive.
To pause.
To reconnect with your center.
And to lead from a place that feels steady, clear, and fully alive.
Why This Retreat
You don’t need more leadership theory.
What you need is space to notice what actually happens inside when the pressure hits, and the awareness and practices to respond with more intention.
At Rooted & Alive, we weave together the Enneagram, conscious leadership practices, and nervous system awareness to help you understand your patterns and learn how to return to grounded presence.
Using the Enneagram as our map, we’ll explore:
The patterns you developed to succeed—and how they’ve been shaping you behind the scenes
The deeper drivers of your reactivity under pressure
How these patterns land on and impact your team
Who you are when you’re centered—and how to return there more consistently
When you’re below the line, you might over-control or over-accommodate. Or you might push through exhaustion like it’s a badge of honor.
When you’re above the line, something shifts.
You breathe.
You choose.
You respond.
You trust your wisdom.
The world needs more women leading from that place.
The Enneagram Leadership Lens
A practical map for understanding how you lead — especially under pressure.
Each of us develops patterns for navigating the world: ways of thinking, feeling, and acting that helped us succeed and stay safe. Over time these patterns become automatic and can quietly shape how we react under pressure.
The Enneagram makes those patterns visible. It shows how different leadership styles operate when navigating uncertainty—and the pathways that help restore balance and effectiveness.
At Rooted & Alive, the Enneagram will help you recognize your patterns and learn how to return to a more grounded, steady way of leading.
No prior Enneagram experience is required.
The Experience
Before we gather, you’ll complete a comprehensive Enneagram assessment and receive a private 1:1 debrief with Nevada or Emma.
We want to get to know you and help you feel supported before you arrive.

You’ll experience:

nervous system regulation practices

free time in nature to integrate insights
structured leadership conversations and journaling
You’ll be supported by the warmth of the sun, fresh air, shared farm-to-table meals, coffee by the garden fountain, gathering by the fire at night, an optional dip in the pool or hot tub, and a sound bath to settle your nervous system before bed.
The retreat is structured and strategic.
It’s also spacious and designed for restoration.
There will be meaningful conversations.
